Emily Kaplan (born in New Jersey) is an American ice hockey broadcast personality. She received a journalism degree from Penn State University. She has worked as a rink side reporter, co-host of In the Crease NHL Podcast as well as a hockey writer and reporter for ESPN. She joined ESPN in 2017 and would be ESPN's only in arena reporter for the COVID-19 pandemic affected 2020 Stanley Cup Finals held at Rogers Place in a bubble environment. Prior to joining ESPN she also worked at Sports Illustrated, the Boston Globe, the Associated Press, and the Philadelphia Inquirer
