Emil Clarence Hanson (November 18, 1907 – May 16, 1955) was a professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in 7 NHL games for the Detroit Red Wings. He was born in Camrose, Alberta.

He played for the Tulsa Oilers of the American Hockey Association (AHA) from 1928 to 1932. His play there got him a look by the Detroit Red Wings where he played seven games and scored no points in 1932-33. Hanson finished that season with the Detroit Olympics.

Hanson then played nine seasons in the AHA and the related Central Hockey League, making the all-star team three times. He retired in 1942.

In 1943-44 Hanson came out of retirement to play for the senior Edmonton Vics.
