The Elliot Lake Vikings are a team based in Elliot Lake, Ontario. They are based out of the Elliot Lake Centennial Arena. The team was founded in 2014 as an expansion team in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. The team replaced the departed Elliot Lake Bobcats who relocated to Cochrane and were renamed the Cochrane Crunch.
The team set a record for the number of victories by a first season team in the league.
the team would announce on May 10, 2020 that the team will be sitting out the 2020-21 season.[1]
The organization would announce on April 17, 2021 that the team would return to the NOJHL for the 2021-22 season after a reorganization where the team operations would be taken over by a management company headed by Paul Noad. The team named John Buchanan as general manager and Brian Noad as head coach. As part of the reorganization the team would be renamed the Elliot Lake Red Wings.[2]

On July 19, 2023 the league approved the transfer of the Elliot Lake Red Wings to new owners and the change of the team's name to the Elliot Lake Vikings, which was the name of the previous NOJHL team in the community from the 1960's to the 1990's.
