
William Ellis Pringle (born August 31, 1911, date of death unknown) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played one season in the National Hockey League for the New York Americans. He was born in Toronto, Ontario.
He played junior hockey for the Newmarket Redmen and Toronto Marlboros from 1928 to 1930. The New York Americans brought him up in 1930-31 but he only appeared in six games with no points.
Pringle played in the minor pros across North America until 1939. He then played four years of amateur hockey in and around Toronto until his retirement in 1943.
