The Edmonton Nuggets were a senior team out of Edmonton, Alberta.
They were founded in 1964 as an independent team. They lost the semi final in the 1964-65 Alberta Senior Playoffs to the Calgary Spurs.
The next season (1965-66) they joined the newly formed Western Canada Senior Hockey League. The Nuggets finished in fifth place and out of the playoffs.
In 1966-67 the Nuggets finished in second place and then lost the semi final.
The following season (1967-68) the Nuggets were in bad financial shape. Their owner officially folded the team on January 14, 1968 and the players took over the team themselves, renaming it the Edmonton Monarchs.
