Eddie Del Grosso (born August 27, 1985 in Las Vegas, Nevada) is a professional ice hockey defenceman, currently with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Juniors and collegiate career[]
Del Gross played three years of junior hockey, beginning in 2003 with the St. Louis Heartland Eagles of the United States Hockey League, scoring one assist in five games with the team. St. Louis would fold following the 2003-04 season and Del Grosso was transferred to the Indiana Ice. In his first season with Indiana, Del Grosso scored 15 goals and 22 assists in 60 games. In his final juniors season, Del Grosso would score 19 goals and 29 assists in 56 games.
Following the completion of his juniors career, Del Grosso enrolled at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Del Grosso would play all four years of his collegiate eligibility at UNO, scoring 24 goals and 85 assists in 158 career games.
Professional career[]
Immediately following his final collegiate game, Del Grosso signed an amateur try out agreement with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, making his debut on March 26, 2010. In eight games with Springfield, Del Grosso notched two assists and had nine penalty minutes.
