This league operated under the authority of the Maritimes Amateur Hockey Association and its teams were eligible for the Allan Cup.
It was organized primarily to provide a league for the Halifax Wolverines to play in.
It ran for only three seasons (1937-38 to 1939-40) before folding due to World War II.
