The Eastern Junior Women's Hockey League was a league based out of the Feildian Gardens in St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador. The league was established for the 2018-19 playing season.
The league was approved by Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador in late June 2018. The league and was organized with the help of the St. John's Junior Hockey League.[1]The league was intended for women ages 17 to 25. The league was formally announced on August 3, 2018 by HNL.[2] This was the first attempt at organized female junior hockey in the province.
All games were played on Friday nights at Fieldian Gardens. The league was stocked by an entry draft held October 1, 2018.
The league was organized for a second season in 2019-20, with games slated to begin on October 4, with the Blizzard set to face Metro Eastern Valve, and Universal Corporate Wear vs Eastern Ice Breakers.[3]
