Dumitru Axinte (b. in 1952 in Bucharest, Romania) is a former Romanian forward who played in the Liga Nationala Hochei pe Gheaţă, the Romanian National Ice Hockey League.

Axinte played for Dinamo Bucuresti from 1968 to 1983 and was crowned six times Romanian Champion with the team during his league career.

One of the best Romanian players of the 1970's, Axinte was a regular member of the Romanian National Team, where he formed his country's top line with Marian Costea and Doru Tureanu. He took part in the 1976 and 1980 Olympics, as well as in 14 World Championships: 1970,1971,1972,1973,1974, 1975, 1976, 1977(Group A), 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983, for a total of 75 games, in which he recorded 21 goals and 25 assists for 46 points.
