Doug Evans (born June 2, 1963) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey left winger who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets, and Philadelphia Flyers.
He had three very successful junior seasons with the Peterborough Petes, but his small size kept him from being drafted by an NHL team. A fourth season (1983-84) as an overage junior with 124 points in 61 games got the St. Louis Blues to sign him as a free agent.
In five years in the Blues system, Evans spent more time with the NHL team than with their Peoria Rivermen farm team, but he never stuck for a full season. In 1990 he was traded to the Winnipeg Jets and played 70 games for them in 1990-91.
He was traded to the Boston Bruins in July, 1990, but was claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers in October. He played 65 games for the Flyers in 1993.
This was the end of his NHL career. He played six more seasons for his old team, the Peoria Rivermen, and retired in 1999.
In the NHL, Evans played in 355 games, scoring 48 goals and 87 assists.
