Dominik Lakatoš (born on April 8, 1997 in Kolín) is a Czech ice hockey left/right winger currently playing with the HC Vítkovice of the Tipsport Extraliga. He was selected 157th overall by the New York Rangers in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
Club career[]
Lakatoš played junior hockey with the Bílí Tygři Liberec organisation. He made his senior debut in the 2014-15 season playing one relegation game with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga while also playing 29 regular season games and 3 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec under-eighteen team and 19 regular season games and 6 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec junior team during the same season.
In the 2015-16 season, Lakatoš played 2 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec junior team, 36 regular season games and 12 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga and 18 regular season games and 1 relegation game on loan with the Bílí Tygři Liberec's farm team, the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the WSM Liga. In this season, he won the Tipsport Extraliga title with the Bílí Tygři Liberec and was named the Tipsport Extraliga Rookie of the Year.
In the next season, he played 41 regular season games and 16 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga and 7 games on loan with the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the WSM Liga. He was the junior who scored most points (22) in the Tipsport Extraliga in this season.
The 2017-18 season was very similiar to the previous one. Lakatoš played 50 regular season games and 10 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec and 2 games on loan with the HC Benátky nad Jizerou.
Lakatoš began the 2018-19 season with the Bílí Tygři Liberec of the Tipsport Extraliga, he also played 2 games on loan with the HC Benátky nad Jizerou of the Chance Liga (formerly WSM Liga). In the middle of the season, he was loaned to the PSG Berani Zlín of the Tipsport Extraliga. He played there 22 games before moving back to the Bílí Tygři Liberec for the end of the season. He played 28 regular season games and 8 play-off games with the Bílí Tygři Liberec in this season.
Since 2019, Lakatoš is playing with the HC Vítkovice of the Tipsport Extraliga. He is signed there until the end of the 2020-21 season.
International career[]
Lakatoš played with the Czech National Team at the 2016 World Junior Championship.
