Dick Carlson was an ice hockey broadcaster. Among his sports broadcasting jobs was being the radio announcer for the Cincinnati Stingers of the World Hockey Association for their final season. He would also serve as a play-by-play announcer for some of the NHL on USA broadcasts from 1980 to 1982.

He had also broadcast collegiate football and basketball, as well as National Football League, American Basketball Association, and Major League Baseball games. He would also do various national sports broadcasts for ABC Radio.

He would later work as an executive for stations in both Denver and Seattle.

Born in 1944, he was originally from Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He would pass away October 13, 2004 in Denver, Colorado.
