Michael Desmond "Desse" Patrick Roche (February 1 1909 – January 8 1971) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played 4 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Maroons, Ottawa Senators, St. Louis Eagles, Montreal Canadiens and Detroit Red Wings. Born in Kemptville, Ontario, Canada, he is one of only six NHL players to have worn the number 99.
He played junior hockey with the Montreal Victorias in 1925-26 and won the Allan Cup with Montreal AAA in 1929-30,
His brother Earl Roche also played in the National Hockey League.
He scored the final goal with the original Ottawa Senators on March 17, 1934.
Roche played in 113 NHL games, scoring 20 goals and 18 assists. He retired in 1939.
