David Allen Jensen (born August 19, 1965 in Needham, Massachusetts) is a retired American professional ice hockey player who appeared in 105 NHL regular season games between 1984 and 1990

He was a star in high school hockey in 1982-83 which led the Hartford Whalers to choose him 20th overall as a junior in year of high school in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.

Jensen played with the U.S. National Team in 1983–84 as an amateur and was the leading scorer of the U.S. Olympic team that played in the 1984 Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo.

Jensen played his rookie year with the Hartford Whalers before he was traded to the Washington Capitals in exchange for Dean Evason and Peter Sidorkiewicz. He played parts of 6 seasons with the Capitals and Boston Bruins. He also played for the U.S. team in the 1984 Canada Cup tournament.

In 105 NHL games Jensen scored 37 goals and 44 assists.
