David "Dave" Trottier (June 25, 1906 in Pembroke, Ontario, Canada – November 13, 1956) was an Canadian player who starred in the 1928 Olympics and played in the National Hockey League. He won the Stanley Cup in 1935 with the Montreal Maroons.

Trottier started out with the junior Toronto St. Michael's Majors of the Ontario Hockey Association in 1923-24 and 1924-25. He then joined the senior Toronto Varsity Grads, also of the Ontario Hockey Association. He helped them win the Allan Cup in 1926-27 and the gold medal in the 1928 Olympics.

Right after the Olympics, Trottier signed with the NHL's Montreal Maroons who has accquired his rights. He was one of the stars of the team for 10 seasons, including the 1934-35 Stanley Cup win.

After the Maroons folded in 1938 Trottier was traded to the Detroit Red Wings. He played 11 games for them and 10 games for the American Hockey League's Pittsburgh Hornets before retiring at the end of the 1938-39 season.

Trottier scored 121 goals and 113 assists in 446 NHL games played.
