Danny Lewicki (born March 12, 1931 in Fort William, Ontario) is a retired Canadian left winger, He passed away on September 25, 2018.
Playing Career[edit | edit source]
He started out in junior hockey with the Fort William Columbus Club in 1946-47 and 1947-48. Lewicki then moved to the Stratford Kroehlers in 1948-49 and the junior Toronto Marlboros in 1949-50. He played in the playoffs with the senior Marlboros in 1949-50 and won the Allan Cup.
Lewicki began his National Hockey League career with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1951 and won the Stanley Cup. He spent the next three seasons split between the Leafs and their farm team Pittsburgh Hornets of the American Hockey League.
He would also play for the New York Rangers and Chicago Black Hawks. Lewicki ended off his career with one year with the Buffalo Bisons (1959-60) and three with the Quebec Aces (1960-63).
In 1954-55, he was a member of the NHL All-Star Team and won a Stanley Cup with the 1951 Maple Leafs.
