Danny Battochio (born December 21, 1985 in Sudbury, Ontario) is a Canadian professional goaltender playing for the Rapid City Rush in the Central Hockey League.
He started out with the junior Ottawa 67's as a 17 year old walk-on backup goaltender in 2003-04. That December he suffered convulsions, which were discovered to be caused by a blood clot in his brain. It was feared that his hockey career, which had just started, was over. However an operation was successful and he returned the following season. Battochio played for the 67's through the 2005-06 season. He was not drafted by any NHL team.
Battochio then went to St. Francis Xavier University where he was one of the leading goalies in the Atlantic University Sport league.
He turned pro in 2009-10 with the Rapid City Rush of the Central Hockey League.
