
Daniel Manzato with the Las Vegas Wranglers
Daniel Manzato (born January 17, 1984 in Fribourg, Switzerland) is a professional goaltender currently playing for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers of Switzerland's Nationalliga A.
He played junior hockey for the Victoriaville Tigres from 2001 to 2004. The Carolina Hurricanes chose him 160th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
He turned pro with EHC Kloten in the Swiss Nationalliga A in 2004-05 and played in that league for three years. In 2007 Manzato returned to North America for two years, mostly with the Las Vegas Wranglers and the Albany River Rats. He returned to Switzerland in 2009 to play for the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.
Manzato played for Switzerland in the 2001 and 2003 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, the 2007 World Championship, and the 2010 Olympics.
