Daneca Butterfield was an ice hockey player for the Robert Morris Colonials women's ice hockey program.

Playing career[]

She was a member of the Notre Dame Hounds squad that went 24-4-1 and won the 2007 Saskatchewan Female AAA Hockey League title. Her contribution to the season included an 11-3-0 record with two shutouts. Her goals against average was a meagre 1.99 (and only allowing 27 goals on the season).


NCAA[]

During the 2008-09 season, Butterfield appeared in 10 games and finished the season with a 3-3-0 record. Statistically, she compiled 194 saves in 421:18 minutes played and ended the year with a .915 save percentage. She earned her first win of the season on November 29 against the Maine Black Bears. On January 24, she had a season-high 37 saves against Mercyhurst. From February 6 to 7, Butterfield recorded back to back wins versus Sacred Heart. One of those wins was a shutout. On November 22, she had a season-high save percentage of .921 against Rensselaer.[1]
