The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks is a Tier II Junior A ice hockey team in the North American Hockey League's East Division. The team's home arena Danbury Ice Arena in Danbury, Connecticut.
History[]
The franchise was founded as the Dawson Creek Rage in 2010. They would suspend operations in 2012. The ownership of the Eastern Hockey League's Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights purchased the rights to the dormant franchise and re-established the team under that name. On May 11, 2020 the NAHL announced that the ownership of the team was moving to Danbury, Connecticut for the 2020-21 season. As part of the announcement Billy McCreary was announced as the head coach of the team. McCreary was previously coach and general manager of the Federal Prospects Hockey League team that play out of the same arena also under the Danbury Hat Tricks name.[1]
