Contrecoeur Vikings

The Contrecoeur Vikings formerly the Mustangs de Saint-Jean and the Contrecoeur Mustangs, are a men's senior team from Iberville, Quebec, which is part of the St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Regional Municipality, that plays in the Ligue de Hockey Senior Élite. The team is based out of the Aréna Marcel-Larocque. The team was originally based out of the Centre Sportif Régional de Contrecoeur in Contrecoeur, Quebec until the start 2024-25 season. The team joined the league for the 2021-22 season.

On May 6, 2024 the league announced that the Contrecoeur Mustangs will be relocating to the Aréna Marcel-Larocque in Iberville from the Centre Sportif Régional de Contrecoeur in Contrecoeur, Quebec for the 2024-25 season.^[1] Originally the team wanted to move to Louiseville; but, the league rejected the move on May 3rd due to distance from the other teams.^[2]

On June 21, 2025 the league announced the relocation of the Mustangs de Saint-Jean to Contrecoeur, Quebec where they will be renamed the Contrecoeur Vikings. The team will be playing out of the Centre Sportif Régional de Contrecoeur.^[3]. The team is moving back to the arena they left prior to the 2024-25 season.
