Colton Douglas Orr (born March 3, 1982 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player. Orr was not drafted by an NHL team and signed as a free agent with the Boston Bruins. He now plays for the New York Rangers, as he was claimed off waivers by them in November 2005. Orr is of no relation to Hall-of-Fame defenceman Bobby Orr.

On December 31, 2006 Orr was suspended 5 games by the NHL for a cross check to the face of Washington Capitals' superstar Alexander Ovechkin, coming in the third period of a December 30 game at Madison Square Garden in New York. Ovechkin was uninjured, but NHL Senior Vice President and Director of Hockey Operations Colin Campbell regarded Orr's infraction as "reckless". [1]

Orr scored his first career NHL goal in a February 9, 2007 game against the Tampa Bay Lightning's Johan Holmqvist.

Orr is most famous for a fight that occured in a game versus the Philadelphia Flyers. Shortly after the opening faceoff Todd Fedoruk and Colton Orr squared off in what seemed to be a non-event fight. After a few moments Orr was able to free one of his hands and land a solid punch against Fedoruks cheek. The impact concussed, knocked out, and broke the orbital implant of Fedoruk (said implant had been put in after Derek Boogaard of the Minnesota Wild broke Fedoruk's orbital bone the season before). The punch that Orr landed was so hard that he wrenched from the pain in his hand after the hit.

Colton Orr has a young brother, Jamison, who is also a professional player; he spent the 2007-08 season with the Bloomington Prairie Thunder of the new International Hockey League.
