The Colonial Hockey League was a minor professional league.
It was formed in 1991. THe original teams were:
- Brantford Smoke
- Michigan Falcons (Detroit)
- Flint Bulldogs
- St. Thomas Wildcats
- Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks
The league was renamed the United Hockey League in 1997. In 2007 it was renamed again as the International Hockey League.
