Cold Lake is a city of about 12,000 in northeastern Alberta, Canada. There is an important military base nearby.
The community, which was established in 1996, is made up of the former community of Grand Centre, Alberta, which is now referred to as Cold Lake South with the original Cold Lake being referred to as Cold Lake North.
