The Colby Mules are a Women's Division III team in the New England Small College Athletic Conference.

1972-73 Colby women's hockey team

The women's program dates back to the 1972-73 season. The team was a founding member of the Division I ECAC league. The team participated in the first women's intercollegiate varsity game vs Brown University in 1973. The program gained varsity status for the 1975-76 season. The team was a founding member of the ECAC Women's Conference in 1984. The team has played out of the Alfond Rink for its' whole existence.

After serving as the interim head coach Holley Tyng was named head coach on May 4, 2017.
