Women's program

1972-73 Colby women's hockey team

The women's program dates back to the 1972-73 season.  The team was a founding member of the Division I ECAC league.  The team participated in the first women's intercollegiate varsity game vs Brown University in 1973. The program gained varsity status for the 1975-76 season.  The team was a founding member of the ECAC Women's Conference in 1984.

After serving as the interim head coach Holley Tyng was named head coach on May 4, 2017.
