The Co-op Place formerly the Canalta Centre is an indoor arena located in the Box Springs Business Park in Medicine Hat, Alberta. The arena replaced the Medicine Hat Arena which had opened as the home of the Medicine Hat Tigers in 1970 and was their home until 2015.
The arena plans were approved by the Medicine Hat City Council on June 17, 2013 after two previous proposals were defeated. The arena broke ground in August 2013. The arena is opening in September of 2015. The arena had a working name of the Medicine Hat Regional Events Centre.
On June 24, 2015 SMG and the Tigers announced they reached a tentative lease agreement for the 2015-16 season.
