Christina Mancuso currently plays hockey for the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey program. She played in all 37 games her freshman and junior seasons and missed just three games as a sophomore. Mancuso centered Ohio State's third line during the 2009-10 season while tallying a personal-best 10 points on four goals and six assists. [1]

Playing careerEdit


Before joining the Buckeyes, Mancuso played with the Toronto Junior Aeros in 2006-07. The Aeros won the 2007 Provincial Women's Hockey League Championship. She also played hockey at the high school level. She played with the Havergal Collegiate High School team. As a junior, she scored 24 goals and finished the season with 39 points in 20 games to earn the team MVP award. She was a member of the 2006 Toronto Star All-Star Team. She won the Ontario Provincials in 2006 with the Toronto Aeros.[2]

Ohio StateEdit

As a freshman (2007-08), Mancuso played in all 37 games and accumulated three points (two goals and an assist). All three of her points were scored in November. Her first collegiate point was an assist in a 6-1 victory vs. Bemidji State on November 3. Seven days later, she scored her first career goal in a 3-2 loss at Minnesota State. In her sophomore season, Mancuso played in 33 games but she missed the WCHA First Round Playoff series with an injury. For the second consecutive season, she had three points.

In her junior season, Mancuso had a career highs in points with ten (four goals and six assists). Nine of her points were against WCHA opponents (three goals, six assists). The Buckeyes won seven of the eight games in which Mancuso had a point . On October 16, Mancuso had the first multiple-point game of her career with two assists in 5-2 win at Bemidji State. The first shorthanded goal of her career was scored against the Robert Morris Colonials on January 2. January 15 was her second multi-point game as she scored a goal and assist in 6-0 shutout at Minnesota State.
