Chris McRae (born August 26, 1965 in Beaverton, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player who played 21 games in the National Hockey League. He played with the Toronto Maple Leafs and Detroit Red Wings.

He was a tough rugged player in junior with the Belleville Bulls, Sudbury Wolves, and the Oshawa Generals. Undrafted, he was signed as a free agent by the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1985.

McRae played mostly with the Leafs' farm teams, the St. Catharines Saints and the Newmarket Saints, but did get into 14 games with Toronto. The Leafs traded him in 1989 to the New York Rangers for Ken Hammond.

After playing for the minor pro Denver Rangers, McRae was traded to the Detroit Red Wings later in 1989. He got into 7 games with the Wings, scoring his only NHL point (a goal).

He retired in 1992.

He is the brother of Basil McRae.
