Chelsea Grills (born March 12, 1985) was an ice hockey player for the St. Lawrence Skating Saints women's ice hockey program and is currently a full-time assistant coach with the McGill University women's hockey team.

Playing careerEdit

Grills played at South Carleton High School with future Boston Blades skater Jaclyn Hawkins and uOttawa Gee-Gees player Danika Smith. In the first eight games of the 2000 season, both Grills and Hawkins averaged four points a game as the South Carleton Storm started the season with an 8-0 record.[1] From 2001 to 2003 season, Grills played for the Ottawa Raiders of the NWHL.[2]

In 2003, Grills joined the St. Lawrence Skating Saints of the NCAA. During her career with the Skating Saints, she appeared in three NCAA Frozen Four tournaments. By the end of her NCAA career, Grills had served as captain of the Skating Saints. Grills finished her career at St. Lawrence with 167 career points. [3] On November 3, 2007, Grills scored one goal and registered three assists as part of a 5-2 win versus Wayne State.[4] From January 20 to 27, 2008, Grills joined fellow St. Lawrence teammates Annie Guay and Sabrina Harbec at the Canadian National Team Women's evaluation camp in Calgary, Alberta. Coaching careerEdit

After graduating from St. Lawrence, Grills joined the North American Hockey Academy in Stowe, Vermont in fall 2008. In 2010, Grills became an assistant coach at Amherst College. In 2013, she was appointed to an assistant coaching position with the McGill University Martlets [7]
