Chantal Champagne (born June 14, 1965) is a former referee and employee of Hockey Canada.
Officiating[]
She is a Hockey Canada Certified Level VI official[1] A resident of North Bay, Champagne was one of the officials during the 2001 IIHF Women’s World championships.[2] On January 15, 2007, Champagne was an official during an intergender match between the Canadian National Women’s Ice Hockey team, and the Calgary Royals Midget AAA boys team. The Royals prevailed by a 7-3 tally.[3] Previously, Champagne was also an official in the NWHL[4] and the WWHL.
Ice Sledge Hockey[]
Champagne became an employee of Hockey Canada in August 2004, and was appointed as the first ever manager for Ice Sledge Hockey operations. [5] During the 2005-06 season, Champagne was a member of the Sledge Hockey Advisory Committee with Hockey Canada.[6]
