The [[Northern Saskatchewan League]] and the [[Southern Saskatchewan Senior Hockey League]] would play as seperate leagues until being merged into one league for the 1938-39 season.  The installation of artifical ice in [[Saskatoon]] for the 1937-38 season and in [[Regina]] for the 1938-39 season would make a single province wide league practical as the season did not have to be rushed to crown a champion and advance a team to the Western Canada Allan Cup Playoffs.
