Outdoor ice hockey venues in Canada

The following is a list of outdoor ice hockey venues in the country of Canada.

Many of these venues are host to modern era special events such as the NHL's Heritage Classic, NHL Centennial Classic, or other minor league of junior hockey games.

Outdoor venues date back to hockey's origins as a game played on frozen ponds, lakes, river or canals.  Many towns were unable to afford to enclose their arenas and the games were played on rinks built on top of fields and were exposed to the elements.
