Casper is a city located in Central Wyoming. According to the 2010 US Census the city has a population of 55,316. The primary arena for the city is the Casper Events Center which seats 8,395.

Casper had been listed as a possible expansion location for the Central Hockey League but the league ceasing operations in 2014. The ECHL could be a possibility as there are four teams located in neighboring states (Boise, Idaho; Rapid City, South Dakota; West Valley City, Utah; and Loveland, Colorado), three of which were already in the ECHL.
