Casey Jay Wellman (born October 18, 1987) is a American professional ice hockey center for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). The native of Brentwood, California was signed to a 2-year entry level contract on March 16, 2010 as a free agent. In high school, he played hockey at Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, winning state titles in 2004 and 2006. He then attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst for 2 years where he played on the hockey team.
Wellman is the son of former San Francisco Giants infielder Brad Wellman.
