Carisa Zaban Wahlig (born September 12, 1977 in Glenview, Illinois) is an American women's ice hockey coach and former ice hockey player.
=Playing Career[]
She would play five seasons with the New Hampshire Wildcats women's ice hockey team from 1995 to 2000 where she was the team's leading scorer a four years. She was a member of the United States women's national ice hockey team at the 2001 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships winning a silver medal. She would briefly play for the Lugano Ladies team in Switzerland for the 2002-03 playing season leading the team in scoring. She would play for the US National team at the 2003 World Roller Hockey Championships earning a gold medal.
Coaching[]
She would serve as the assistant coach of her hometown high school team for the 2003-04 season. She would then serve as head coach of a women's U19 AAA team for the 2004-05 season. She would become head coach of the Lake Forest Foresters women's ice hockey for the 2005-06 season and stay at that position for 13 seasons until becoming head coach of the Brown Bears women's ice hockey team on April 27, 2018. She compiled a 201-101-39 record at Lake Forest, the 201 wins are a school record.
