History[edit | edit source]

The league began in the 1955-56 season as the renamed Central Interior Hockey League. It was intermediate level.

It was an outlaw league, outside of the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association until the 1963-64 season. Prior to that season it could not participate in the provincial playoffs
