Caraquet is a town on the Acadian Peninsula along the Chaleur Bay in Goucester County in northern New Brunswick. The town had a population of 4,169 as of the 2011 Census.

The arena opened in 1967. The community is working on a campaign to raise funds ($2 million Canadian) for a new facility with a projected price tag of $15 million with $10 million from the federal and provincial governments and $3 million from the town.[1]
