History[]
The Calgary Northstars Hockey Association (CNHA) and its predecessor association were formed over 40 years ago in 1964 under the direction of Mr. Vic Woods, with one Juvenile "AA" and one Midget "AA" team.
Since that time, the CNHA has built a proud legacy that boasts two gold- and one silver-medal finish at the Air Canada National Championships (now Telus Cup) for Midget AAA hockey.
We support one "AAA" Bantam and three "AA" Bantam teams; two "AAA" Minor Midget teams; two "AA" Midget teams; one "AAA" Midget team; and two Junior "B" teams.
More than 30 CNHA alumni have been drafted to NHL teams. Former players have earned roster spots within Hockey Canada Excellence Programs including Alberta Cup, U16, U18 and Canada's national junior and senior hockey teams, in addition to Junior A, Major Junior and collegiate hockey programs.
