CMRSJ Remparts

"Remparts" is the name of the sports teams of the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean (CMRSJ) (in English, Royal Military College Saint-Jean). It is a military academy and is located in St. Jean, Quebec.

History[]

College Militaire Royale (CMR) was the French equivalent of the Royal Military College (RMC). It used to be a member of the Ottawa St Lawrence Conference (OSLC) and the Canadian Intercollegiate Athletic Union (CIAU), later known as Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) and U Sports. The program folded after the 1969-70 season.

In 1995, the CMR and Royal Roads Military College (RRMC) were merged into the RMC. In 1997 the amalgamated college changed its team name from "Redmen" to "Paladins".

CMRSJ was re-opened in 2008 and their teams were named the CMRSJ Remparts. They played rec league hockey and were not a member of any athletic conference. In 2023 the Remparts became members of the Réseau du sport étudiant du Québec (RSEQ). They started in 2023-24 in the RSEQ's Division 2.
