The CCHA Defenseman of the Year award is an annual award given out at the conclusion of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) regular season to the best defenseman in the conference, as voted by the coaches of each CCHA team.[1]
It was introduced in the 2021–22 season, the first after the revival of the CCHA after a nine-season hiatus, by merging the original league's Best Offensive Defenseman and Best Defensive Defenseman awards.
