The Buchans Miners were a senior team in Buchans, Newfoundland and Labrador.

They won the Herder Memorial Trophy, emblematic of the Newfoundland senior hockey championship, in 1949-50, 1950-51, 1951-52, 1953-54, and 1962-63.

The team was devastated by the death of star player George Pike along with four others in a crash in September of 1951. On March 22, 1959 another plane carrying five members of the team was involved in a plane crash on the way back home from a game in Deer Lake.  No one on the plane was killed.  The only serious injury was to team manager Gus Soper who was the team's manager.[1] The arena in town Buchans Arena II, of which he was also the manager, would later be renamed the T.A. Soper Memorial Stadium in his honour.

There was also a junior team by the same name that played in the Newfoundland Junior A Hockey League during the 1970's.
