The Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena (more commonly known as the Brown County Arena) is a 5,248-seat multi-purpose arena in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, situated on the corner of Lombardi Avenue and Oneida Street across from Lambeau Field.
It opened in 1958. It was the home of the Green Bay Bobcats.
The arena was also the original home of the St. Norbert Green Knights men's ice hockey team from 1988 until the opening of the Cornerstone Community Center in De Pere, Wisconsin near the college's campus in 2000.
The arena suffered a partial roof collapse on night of April 20, 2018 as a result of snow melting on the roof slid of the upper portion of the roof and crashed through the roof of the outer portion of the facility which is used as a conference room.[1] A storm the previous week had dropped more than two feet of snow on the area.[2]
The arena was officially closed on April 29, 2019. Demolition was planned to start on May 1, 2019 along with the demolition of Shopko Hall. The facilities will be replaced by a new expo center.[3]
