Brockville is a town of about 20,000 people about 100 kilometers south of Ottawa. It is located in the St. Lawrence River Valley.
Although located in the area of the Ottawa District Hockey Association, its teams often received permission to play in the Ontario Hockey Association. A big reason was its relatively long distance from the other towns of the Ottawa District and the fact that Brockville was (and is) on the main train line that serves southern Ontario.
