The Bridgewater State Bears were a men's hockey team representing the then Bridgewater State College (now Bridgewater State University-renamed in 2010) in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. The team was based out of the Bridgewater Ice Arena located about a mile off of campus. The team played in the ECAC Division II and ECAC Division III between 1970 and 1981 when the program was cancelled.The University presently has a men's club hockey team which is still based out of the Bridgewater Ice Arena. The school is a founding all-sport member of the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference dating to 1971.
The university presently has a men's team competing in the American Collegiate Hockey Association's Division II.
