Brian Durocher

Brian Durocher is an American collegiate ice hockey coach and is a former goaltender. He is a native of Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

Playing Career[]

He was a member of the Boston University Terriers men's team for four seasons. He had a collegiate career record of 47-13-1. He was a co-captain of the 1977–78 Boston University Terriers men's ice hockey season team which won the 1978 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. He was also awarded the Eberly Trophy as the Beanpot's goaltender with the best save percentage for the 1975 tournament.

Coaching Career[]

Upon graduation in 1978, he became an assistant coach for the American International Yellow Jackets. He would be an assistant there from 1978 to 1980 when he became a full time assistant to Jack Parker in 1980. He would then move to Colgate University to become part of the staff of Terry Slater. He would serve as the primary recruiter for the program. When Slater passed away unexpectedly in December of 1991 Durocher would be named the interim head coach. He would stay in that position through the 1991-92 season. He would leave Colgate to become an assistant coach at Brown University. He would return to BU in 1996 as an assistant coach.

He would become the head coach of the newly established Boston University Terriers women's ice hockey team on June 3, 2004 for when it would begin play in 2005.

He would reach 300 coaching victories at BU during the 2019-20 season.
