Brett Perlini (born on June 14, 1990 in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada) is an English-Canadian center/right winger playing with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL Series. He was selected 192nd overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
His father Fred Perlini and uncle Kevin Conway also played hockey. Even his brother Brendan Perlini plays hockey.
Club career[]
Perlini began his junior career with the Guildford Firestars. In the 2003-04 season, Perlini played 12 games with the Guildford Firestars and 1 game with the Guildford Phoenix.
In 2004, Perlini moved to North America and spent the 2004-05 season with the Soo Greyhounds U15 AAA.
In the 2005-06 season played Perlini with the Sault Ste. Marie North Stars Midget AAA of the GNML.
In the next season played Perlini with the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL. In this season, Perlini was the player who scored most goals (38) in the NOJHL and was named the NOJHL Rookie of the Year.
Perlini began the 2007-08 season with the Ohio Junior Blue Jackets of the USHL but after 19 games played, he returned to the Soo Thunderbirds of the NOJHL where he finished the season with 16 regular season games and 6 play-off games played.
In 2008 - 2012, Perlini played with the Michigan State Univ. of the NCAA.
Perlini made his senior debut in the 2012-13 season when he played 39 games with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL and 2 games on loan with the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
Perlini then began the 2013-14 season with the Greenville Road Warriors of the ECHL but after 17 games played, he moved to the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL where he finished the season with 35 games played.
Perlini signed with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL for the 2014-15 season but he played there only 12 games. Then he moved to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL where he finished the season with 57 regular season games and 9 play-off games played. Perlini continued with the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL in the next season.
Perlini began the 2016-17 season with the Rapid City Rush of the ECHL. He played there 25 games before he moved to the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL. However, Perlini played only 2 games with the Wichita Thunder. After that, Perlini returned to the Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL where he finished the season with 33 regular season games and 4 play-off games played.
In 2017, Perlini returned to Great Britain and signed with the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL. He stayed there until the end of the 2019-20 season.
Perlini began the 2020-21 season with the Pustertal/Val Pusteria of the AlpsHL and Lega Italiana Hockey Ghiaccio. He played 31 regular season games and 2 play-off games with the team in the AlpsHL and 3 games in the Lega Italiana Hockey Ghiaccio. After that, he returned to the Nottingham Panthers of the EIHL Series (shortened substitute of the EIHL) and finished there the season with 8 games played. He is currently signed with the Nottingham Panthers until the end of the 2020-21 season.
International career[]
Perlini participated at the 2018 World Championship Division IA (where he won gold, made it into the tournament's all-star team and was named the tournament's most valuable player) and 2019 World Championship as a member of the British National Team.
