Bret Tyler (born June 28, 1985 in Maynard, Massachusetts) is a professional ice hockey defenceman for the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers.

Before making his professional debut in 2008, Tyler played four years with the Maine Black Bears of Hockey East. Tyler would score 89 points in 143 games and was signed to a try out contract with the Las Vegas Wranglers in September 2008. Tyler would begin his professional career when he was offered a contract by Wranglers' head coach and general manager Glen Gulutzan after an impressive performance in the preseason.
