Brent Johnson (b. March 12th 1977 in Farmington, Michigan, United States) is a professional goaltender who plays in the National Hockey League for the Washington Capitals.

The American was Colorado Avalanche's fifth round draft pick (129th overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft; he however never suited up for the Avs, having been traded to the St. Louis Blues in 1997 for a third round draft pick.

Johnson enjoyed some successful campaigns with the Blues, including a 34 wins season (2001-02), before being traded to the Phoenix Coyotes for Mike Sillinger. Prior to the 2005-06 NHL season, Johnson signed with the Vancouver Canucks; however, the Washington Capitals claimed him off waivers.

Brent his the son of former NHL goalie Bob Johnson and the grand-son of Hall of Famer Sid Abel.
