Brandon Mashinter (born September 20, 1988) is a Canadian ice hockey left wing currently playing for the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League, under contract with the Chicago Blackhawks He is known to be an enforcer with goal-scoring ability.
Playing career[]
Undrafted, Mashinter signed as a free agent with the San Jose Sharks on March 3, 2009. He played in his first career NHL game on December 29, 2010 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN vs. the Minnesota Wild. He was traded to the New York Rangers on January 16, 2013 in exchange for Tommy Grant and a conditional 7th round draft pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
On December 6, 2013, the Rangers traded Mashinter to the Chicago Blackhawks for Kyle Beach. On December 13, 2015, Mashinter scored his first NHL goal in a 4-0 win against the Vancouver Canucks.
